Great grooms! In pic number 3, if it has a clipped line down the middle of the back (and it looks like it does) we use to call that clip a "Royal Dutch" . It falls somewhere in between a Dutch, which had narrow lines and a Town and Country. But everyone seems to have different names for all of the poodle trims so ??????

The lady came in with an old poodle grooming book with sketches of grooms and pointed out that one. I couldnt remember what she called it, just know that hair was reall hard to scissor, see how dog tired he is LOL.It does have a line down the center of the back. I do remember one clip in there was called a hillbilly clip. That one looked like fun.

I never heard of that clip either. Just out of shear curiosity, I googled it, not expecting to find much of anything. I WAS WRONG!! I don't think they're selling anything, so I'm pretty sure this is ok to post. Here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/doghome_astrila/clips5.html

The book we used was from the late 70's. That was called then the Royal Dutch I think. Definately not the Royal Dutch now.

What would it be called now? I suppose the books that I saw it called that were from the late 80's, maybe early 90's. I use to do that clip a lot, haven't done that one, or the narrow line dutch in a long, long, time. I did do a Pajama trim not to long ago, but it was on my sons poodle and I can do anything that I want on him, and on that day, I wanted to do the PJ. :0)
